Interview with Jeremy and Emily all about Princeless, comics, princesses, gender in comics, and everything else you desperately want to know about. It’s a great interview where we go way off topic and way on topic!
Comics Should Be Good @ Comic Book Resources
Jamal Igle and Jeremy stop by the 3 Chicks podcast to talk Molly Danger, Adrienne Ashe, and Free Comic Book Day! Check it out and if you don’t listen to this podcast, add it to your list!
Free Comic Book Day is May 4th! Great comics books shops everywhere will have your Princeless/Molly Danger Free Comic Book Day special (note: mediocre comic shops may not have ordered it and may have none. Because they are mediocre to bad.)
If you’d rather have yours with a signature on it, you can come to Ultimate Comics in Durham, North Carolina and experience the wonder of meeting me (Jeremy) in person.
Also: Tommy Lee Edwards, Brian Clevinger, Charles Paul Wilson III, Mike Devito, Jason Strutz, Richard Case, David Rodriguez, Lost Story Studios, and more!
So, my long time cohort Jason Strutz (@strutzart) and I are cooking up something that we’re going to be shopping around to some comic companies. We both wanted to do a superhero book, but we wanted it to be something special. And boy, looking at these character designs, I think it’s definitely going to be something special.
The one on top is the most powerful superheroine in the world. The one on the bottom is our protagonist, a newly super powered woman that finds herself right in the middle of an all out war. The two in between are baddies.
I have to credit Jason with the Grace Jones hair up top. We’re still going round and round about it. What are your thoughts?
Also, he is totally responsible for giving the demon girl Bieber hair, if you were wondering.
First off, if you aren’t reading Princeless, you should be.
Second off, Jeremy Whitley, the excellent creator of Princeless, is thinking of doing a Kickstarter in order to produce and animated pilot for the comic.
Third off, he “would like nothing better than to work with an all-star team like [the GLTAS team]. Giancarlo Volpe is responsible for a couple of my favorite shows…”
So, if you want to be involved in a suitably awesome project, you might want to look into this one. Or at least spread the word.
I feel like I’m being set up on a date with a girl I like but is way out of my league
I thoroughly endorse this.
Ceiling Giancarlo - if you haven’t read Princeless, it is *entirely* your style. That goes for all of you Fanterns and Benders.
Thanks so much for the love! If you guys didn’t see the post, Giancarlo and I did actually hook up on twitter two nights ago and he now has a copy of volume 1 of Princeless to read at his leisure. I’m sure you’ll know if anything happens with all that!

Prince Devin is reading poetry in his room.
But your welcome to come in if there’s something you wanted to talk about.
Or even if there’s not.
Princess Angoisse really doesn’t see the point.
Most music is just stupid love songs anyway.
Romance is an illusion made up by people with boyfriends to make you feel bad about yourself anyway.
So, anyone who doesn’t know, Princeless is going to be featured in Action Lab’s Free Comic Book Day book alongside Jamal Igle’s Molly Danger. What you will get in that free book is a brand new story featuring a brand new character.
Allow me to introduce you to Raven Xingtao.
Learn more about her in May in the brand new (and free) Princeless story called “Girls Who Fight Boys”.

Princeless Volume 2 Issue 3 is in Previews NOW!
Your new issue of previews arrived in your comic book stores just this morning and in it you will see the lovely picture above.
POW! Dynamic right? That’s the amazing Emily C Martin (aka Megamoth) on the pencils and inks and the debut of our new colorist (and quite a large moth in his own right) Mr. Brett Grunig.
If you’re not already ordering Princeless, there’s not a better time to start! Tell your comic shop you want this book! For more details, see the official Action Lab press release: http://www.actionlabcomics.com/princeless-vol-two-3-now-available-for-pre-order/.
Bob submitted:Thought you’d like this. It’s the latest cover of Princeless.

That’s great! I’m amused at the pointed feet on the fake cover too because that’s something that’s in a lot of these types of covers.
Remember, only a few more days left to pre-order Volume 2 Issue 2 of Princeless! Make sure your comic shop is ordering it!
