Tara Abbamondi has been on my radar for a while. She was first recommended to me by CBR’s Kelly Thompson, who couldn’t gush enough about her work. I was fortunate enough to bump into her at Heroes Con this year where I picked up two of her books “Puddles” and “The Stolen Lovelight”, both of which I enjoyed immensely.
So, when I was looking for artists for next years batch of short stories, her name was right at the top of my list. Luckily, she was as excited about working on Princeless as I was about working with her. She’ll be continuing the story of Prince Wilcome and his new companion, which you’ll be able to read the first part of in Short Stories for Warrior Women #2.
Of course, that means that the thumbnails I’m sharing with you right now are allowing you to see almost a year ahead in the story. Wow!

Hey Tumblr folk,
So, I’m doing my best to get these updates to daily (and sometimes multiple times daily) but before the launch of vol 2 at the beginning of the year, I need to find a way to increase the reach of this tumblr. Right now we’re sitting at 479 followers, which is actually down from earlier this week. So, I’d like to take the chance to ask some questions, feel free to answer honestly and thoughtfully.
1) What would you like to see more of on the Princeless tumblr? What would motivate you to recommend Princeless and the Princeless tumblr to others on tumblr?
2) Any recommendations on how to up the profile of the tumblr from folks who have been around longer and have more tumblr knowledge then me?

Later this month, you will finally get more Princeless with the release of Princeless: Short Stories for Warrior Women #1.
Our first short story featured will be illustrated by Nancy King, whose work on the book has already garnered some high praise in early reviews (all of it deserved)! Nancy’s story follows a young Adrienne and Devin on an early adventure that brings them face to face with something locked away in the castle dungeon. Will they survive? Of course they will, they’re older in the main story. Don’t be silly!
Above are some of Nancy’s early sketches for the characters, just to give you an idea of where a great comic starts off.

It’s Monday again everybody! Now, time for new Princeless art!
This week’s entry comes from Ms Nancy King who presents you with the a display of what it takes to make a complete comic book page. You’ve seen the pencils for page 1, but here are some things you haven’t seen.
Here are the completed pencils for page 1 of “The Merry Adventures of Prince Ashe” by Quinne Larsen. Here we get a look at Adrienne’s fierce father and…his fierce father long before we get to know him as King Ashe.
The Black Knight!
Had you forgotten? Had you lost count? Were you too busy reading your free copy of Princeless Issue #1 at Bleeding Cool? We were still short one baddy for the upcoming volume…and here he is!
The Black Knight is fierce, he’s strong, he’s the best swordfighter there is…and no one has ever heard his voice or seen his face. In the War of Succession he fought by the side of the young Prince Ashe so that he could take his place on his father’s throne. There is no one as trusted or as feared in all of Ashland.
Here’s what the King has to say: ”And my fiercest of friends, a man who none have seen in years, but whose tales are told by gorgons to scare their children. The Black Knight.”
So that completes our character sketches for the upcoming issue 5! Now don’t forget that for every 25 followers we get, I’m leaking the amazing artwork of the fine artists doing the Princeless short stories. Go recruiting, because we’ve got things to see! (BTW we’re at 290 right now, get us ten more followers and we’ll get you some beautiful news character designs from Jules Rivera!
